Camping at Riverside Park

Last night, we decided to take a camping trip. Now, camping isn’t anything odd, but we went camping by the river here in Douglas and that was kind of weird, since the camp ground by the river is in the middle of town. It seemed a little strange to be out roasting marshmellows over a camp grill with cars driving by. And our neighboor was a really, really strange guy. I’m pretty sure he was just a hitchhiker who had ended up in Douglas for some reason. Needless to say, it was a good time.

If you’ve never camped in the middle a town, I’d recommend it. It is so much easier than driving all the way out to the middle of nowhere, and you don’t really lose that much of the experience unless you want to go hiking.

  1. Yo, I’m down with campin and what not in the middle of town. But let’s say you were gonna do a little drinkin. You’d have to be a lot more careful than you would out of town. Although, you don’t have to drive near as far since you’re in town. And if you get fed up with someone’s shit, you can just drive five minutes and be home.
