Surfing the net today, I found this wonderful story of college life. It is quite similar to my own college experience so far, and warns me of what’s likely to come in my next two years at school.
And another interesting link I found at Salon. It’s on the reasons book prices are so high. I found it to be an interesting article, as the high prices of books really pisses me off. And I thought it interesting that the author of a book only makes 10-15% of sales from it. So, for the average author, that’s less than $10,000 per book. You’d be really hard pressed to make a living from writing books at that rate.
Fucking books suck cock, they cost a shitload to buy, and then I never use them cause I am either drunk or sleeping off the effects of the previous nights drinking, especially on Thursdays. ‘Cause we all know that Whiskey Wednesdays are the bomb, but too much fun on Wednesday night usually leads to not a lot of fun on Thursday since my head is usually in the toilet and I never make it to the old class on Thursdays. I guess it’s a good thing I only have one class then, wait, what was I talking about. Shit, I have no fucking idea anymore. But you have to forgive me, cause I am looking at porn too.

You got Wyclef posting here!
Ever consider the fencing opportunity in college book stores? They can sell some textbooks 4 or 5 times a semester, all at 85-90% of the original price.
“Books bought - no questions asked.” - bookstore motto

Yeah college bookstores rip students off so terribly bad. I only bought books for three of my six classes this semester, so it wasn’t too bad. But, I’ve turned to places like amazon.com and ebay to buy books now. You can get them considerably cheaper than at the bookstore. And the money is likely going to another student (if buying the book used), so that’s a plus that the greedy bookstore doesn’t end up with more money.
