Bad Andy! Bad!

will-code-html-for-food.jpgfrequent visitors to the site may notice something a little odd that has been added to learnignorance - advertisements. well, not yet, at least, but if andy has his way there will be. if you go to the left column of certain pages, you will see a place for advertisers to place ads - not a bad idea to make some money, but undeniable truth that andy curtis truly is turning into bill gates. this is how it all starts - first a small ad in the corner of the page, then pop-ups, then pop-unders, then he OWNS YOUR SOUL!! well, maybe not that bad, but still - you all understand where i’m coming from. actually, i’m not even really sure what i’m talking about - i would do the same thing if i were him. people actually pay money in order to get a few pixels on some college kids’ website. suckers. not to put down people who want to advertise here - just saying…ummm…ok, i’m going to shut up now.

no i’m not, you should all know my posts are never that small (even though i added a picture! hooray!) that’s right kiddos, it’s time for (dun-dun-dun-DAAAHH)

Lowell’s Link o’ The Day!!

today’s link shows that i’m really not that creative, since a lot of times, i just go here and talk about links that they have showed me, but i’m going to expose myself anyway. the page in question is Fark, who tells us that “it’s not news, it’s fark.com.” it’s basically a bunch of funny links that them folks find and put up, then people like me go and check out and talk about on other sites. but oh well, that’s what they’re there for (i hope). so go, laugh, enjoy, have good times.

  1. Speaks volumes about web designers of the future… If you’re programmer then you must be magickal these days — HTML doesn’t cut it.

  2. Ahh jeesh… I actually signed up with some ad place to put ads on the site, but it’s not looking like it’s going to happen. They don’t have enough ads for everyone, and just give out overflow ads. And seeing as how you don’t get any cash for the overflow ads, it’s a waste of bloody space. With the ads, I only put them on high volume pages (ala photos and archives) so that they wouldn’t annoy regular visitors. Those pages would generate almost 1,000 views per per day, so enough to get a few impressions racked up. And the only reason I did so was to pay the hosting for this site.

Furthermore, I can tell you straightup that there will never be anything worse than text ads on this site (and there probably won’t even be text ads, give it a day and see if those fools at adfarm can do something worthwhile). And who cares about popups? I’d love for sites to only have popups, cause I don’t see them at all since I used Mozilla.

Oh and man, upload images in your posts here on this server, cause those guys ain’t going to like that you’re leeching their bandwidth. They’d probably take a stick and shove it up my bum.

  3. Psh, always out to make a buck. Let’s look at the laundry situation. You didn’t charge ol’ Lowell, but since you were probably running low on funds for Wendy’s and Camo’s, you were going to charge me a buck a load. Dang kids haha

But since I’m not completely a bum…I am willing to trade a camo in exchange for a little laundry privelages. How does that strike ya??

  4. true andy (about the leeching), my bad. hey, i’m new to all this jive, i was just happy that it looked ok - i had to “borrow” some code from another site since i obviously would have had no idea how to do it. oh, and shakes, if you’re so mad about them not charging me for laundry, i promise to chip in some camos for my next load, too. that way they’ll be happy, and i will be too since i’m too drunk to care.

  5. Perhaps Laundry day can be Camo day? Everybody’s a winner in the end then

  6. Jake you can only do laundry if and only if you foot the bill for a case homey.

  7. Hey man, you happy? I changed over to a free link exchange instead of one that allows you to make money.
