Pictures from around the ASU presidential debate

These pics are from my little sister Janelle. Don’t ask me why she shot them at ISO 400 in full daylight, but hey it’s pretty cool that she was near the debate at Arizona State University, where she’s studying interior design. Course, students couldn’t actually go to the debate. No no, that would allow them to become involved in the democratic process and we can’t have that.

Oh and the captions are what she sent me in an email.

So the CNN booth was crazy cause all the people wanted to get on TV. This is like looking out at the people from behide the stage… People in this crowd were always like running out cause they got punched in the face and stuff like that. really liked the Bush and Cheney Signs that were like Farm and Ranch team! AWW good old Wyoming! haha

These balloons were soo funny… The best part was the only people I saw holding them were like old women! Everyone was all Bush does have something up his ass.

These signs say “Kerry hops around the issues” and “Kerry is a hipo-crite” I was just thinking about how sweaty these guys were in the suits. I mean it was a really hot day out, and wow nice big costumes. There was also a dolphin, cause Kerry “flips his mind” overall it was crazy to see costume animals around the union.

To get signs to hold up, the democratic booth had a TON. There were any size you wanted. You could be a woman for kerry, or a young voter, or really probably anything you wanted to be for kerry. I have to say that they had a lot more, and better solgans than the Bush table did. I really liked how stressed out the tv people got with the BIG signs.

Have to represent! The only thing on the entire campus for Nader. It was pretty awesome I talked to the dude for the a while… He was really cool. It was intersting to hear how he thought about all the madness on campus.

Well I wish that these could have showed the madness a lot better. I can’t even tell you how many people were there. I mean it was crazy. If you tried to talk to someone about their canidate, they would just start yelling and stuff. There were a lot of hippies and stuff.. It was awesome
Yeah!

  1. That sucks more students couldn't go. I heard there was a lottery for seats and 15,000 students signed up for a couple hundred seats.

  2. I agree with Tyler, get the 18-24 population more involved.

but speaking of craziness on campus here at wonderful UW this morning there were two men out on pryxie's holding huge signs for Jesus. While 200 yards away I could read one "Jesus or Perish"and hear the both of them preaching.

Farm & Ranch Republicans - I guess it's better than Farm and Creamy Italian Republicans.

  4. Well Andy- I totally forgot about the ISO until we were in Tuson this weekend. But yeah Bry I heard about them guys on your campus, sounded funny! I heard they got kicked off or something like that, enough to have them gone.
They were only going to allow 30 students into Gammage, but they ending up letting in around 200. Everyone else were able to watch it at Wells Fargo Arena on huge screens. There was also an open mic session on the SRC fields, which broke out into mulitply fights. What can you do.
