Red Eagle Lake II
Another shot of the scene presented the other day. This is again from Red Eagle Lake in Glacier National Park.
So as for information on these. I took this with the 18-35mm f3.5-4.5 zoom Nikkor at 18mm. Probably with something like f8 and a shutter speed of 1/30. Although I honestly have no idea.
But I’d really be interested in hearing whether you like this one or the previous one better. And why, of course.
I like the first one (the horizontal) better. The wider perspective makes the lines of the mountains much stronger and gives a better view of the reflection in the lake. The valley is already sort of narrow, so the horizontal opens things up and allows the viewer to better appreciate the size and scope of the shot, as well as the terrific colors in the sky, water, mountains, and rocks.
Thanks for the feedback ambimb. I appreciate it, cause knowing these sort of things help photographers improve!
