Houses along the Stadsbuitengracht

These houses are along the canal that lined the original city wall in Utrecht (Stadsbuitengracht means something like outer city canal). This was about a two minute walk from my flat, and I loved walking along the canal, because the plants growing beside it could almost be considered tropical compared to what grows in Wyoming. I didn’t see a single dry, yellow blade of grass in The Netherlands. Quite a change from arid Wyoming, but one I rather liked.
