Fira Barcelona

Fira Barcelona

Haven’t exactly updated the site for a couple of weeks now. Sorry about that. Something about last week’s spring break that caused me to be lazy. That and I didn’t have enough time to scan pictures before I left for break, so I didn’t have much to post. As for the above picture, the reflective surface of the building and the light spangled across the ground caught my eye, so I took a picture. Special thanks to my Barcelona travel companions for their patience while I took photos.

Well not a whole lot has been going on in Wyoming. It’s spring now I suppose. Course, it snowed Monday, the first day of spring. A fair amount too, at least a few inches (or something like 10-15 centimeters) worth. And as I write this, it’s snowing again. Spring snowstorms are nice though; their snows melt in a couple of days, rather than lingering with decaying ice structures for months.

Highlights of spring break basically include spending lots of time with my younger sister. The sleepy town of Douglas with its population of 5,000 doesn’t have much to offer me anymore. I saw a few old friends who didn’t manage to escape the town’s grasp, but I really just read a lot.

Without any reason, I include these

Blik wall graphics for the urban dweller totally rock. I’m getting some of those next year.

Scaling, Power Laws, and the Small World Phenomena in Networks is an interesting seminar at the University of Massachusetts.

This guy takes pictures from around Wyoming and Colorado and they’re quite good. I can’t wait ‘till it’s warm enough (because I’m a wimp) to venture into the mountains. He’s also making me want to hike Snowy Range again.

  1. Something about this spring break made me lazy too!

  3. Booze, women and booze?

I'm heading to Douglas today if the weather isn't terrible... except since it's dumping snow, probably tomorrow. I'll call ya.
