Gabby
I’m back at my parents’ home now. The weather is dreary; snow is falling. I can’t leave the house without running into someone who I’d rather not see, and my allergies are terrible largely due to the little beast in the photo above. Don’t let her apparent cuteness fool you; she’s a vicious allergy attacker.
I was supposed to fly to Phoenix today to meet my little sister and make the 16 hour drive back to Wyoming with her, but I changed my flight since one of her friends has the audacity to travel so far with her. That’s cool with me, I hate driving anyhow. I did look forward to spending time with Janelle, though we wouldn’t have had much time outside of her car.
I’ve been reading James Joyce’s Dubliners. I like it thus far (I should say I like the stories I’ve read thus far since it’s a collection of short stories), quite a bit different than his work I’ve previously read.
The days have been slow, but nice. It’s kind of strange, this having nothing to do. I don’t start my summer job at DU for a while, so I am just relaxing for now. I do say that it feels almost strange. I can’t say, “I really should be doing this, or that, or any number of things.”
As for now, I think I’m going to throw David Bowie’s Low on the stereo, grab a mug of hot chocolate and watch the snow fall.
Poor Gabby. She only wants to love you!
Yes, see that's the problem. She does love me, too much, so I get to have her dragging dirt, dust, manure and so forth all over my bed.
Too bad you didn't make it to Venus, I mean Phoenix, dude! By the way, here is a picture of my girlfriend's doggie, Gabey. Becky's pood is however, immaculately clean. ;)
Chris: not too sad that I didn't make it out to the bloody hot desert... though I really do want to make it down there someday. Perhaps a photo outing could be a arranged. I've got to get down there and do some backpacking around Flagstaff. I also have this idea of packing down the Grand Canyon, though that should probably be done when it's quite a bit cooler. The mountains are calling me now...
