Jeff, Bryanne and I hiked up Medicine Bow Peak Sunday, reminding me how truly lucky I am to live around such beauty. The peak extends 12013 feet (3662 meters) above sea level, providing a spectacular view of the rugged surroundings, and can be found in the Snowy Range, a section of the Rocky Mountains. It’s peaceful around the mountain, and feels very far from human development. Photos [ 1 ] and [ 2 ] from the last time I hiked Medicine Bow.
And my time in Laramie reminded me how cold that place is. The wind blew hard the entire time I was there, typically blowing at least 15 mph (25 km/h), which is not something I miss now that I’ve relocated to Colorado. It’s strange, because I really like the wind; I love the way it feels rushing across my body. I just can’t handle that much wind. The constant gale force during bitter cold months. I do miss things about Laramie, though. The people. Do think about relocating to Colorado, ok all my Wyoming friends?
