I do say that the best thing about autumn is walking through piles of fallen leaves. The crackle and soft crunch of decaying organic material under rubber sneaker soles.

I tried to jump in a pile of leaves, but went right through to the ground... mostly because their wasn't really a pile, but a thin covering of the green grass underneath. Maybe I will jump into snow piles in a few months instead... I have to get the snowpants ready to wear all the time!
BUT I am going hiking this Saturday! It will be the perfect weather for it in the morning, just have to go until the afternoon sun comes.
Oh, I'm a dope. I finally upgraded to the newest version of Movable Type (up from 2.6!) and I didn't realize that I have to manually publish comments now for them to appear on the site.
Now, I just have to figure out how to turn this "feature" off.
I was talking to my roommate Jason today. We both decided having a fireplace is a necessity in any house. Especially for those cool, overcast fall days.
