Namesti Republiky Metro Stop

Náměstí Republiky

After much feet shuffling, I finally have enough of my slides from the Czech Republic, Hungary and Austria scanned to post some photos. This is the Náměstí Republiky subway stop in Praha, the actual name of Prague, in the Czech Republic. Most Americans are terrible at geography (mostly since we think that America is the World), so the Czech Republic is a smallish country in eastern-central Europe.

The metro stations in Prague all had these cool panels of mirrors across the rail line. Each station also had its own color. And if I remember correctly, Prague’s subway is quite a bit nicer than Chicago’s, which speaks volumes about American public transportation.

Oh and I should mention, I took this photo roughly a year and a couple of months ago.

  1. We didn't take the metro much in Prague, but I do remember that it was a lot nicer than the public transportation in Slovakia or in Hungary. Cool picture, reminds me how much I liked that part of Europe.
