Road Trip to the East Coast

Day 2: Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio
Let me first say that Iowa is a dismal place. I have honestly never seen so many overweight people in my life. Wow. As a male, let me thank Colorado girls for their thin bodies.
This was a long day. I woke bright and early at the Settle Inn in Des Moines, which seemed like a horrid name to me. Yes, I was indeed settling by staying there — settling for less because it was right off the interstate. I should have stayed at a swank place, considering work picked up the bill.

No, not Princeton, New Jersey, this was in Princeton, Illinois. Another dismal place. I stopped off for a tank of gas and took a walk around the block, since my legs and back were in need of serious stretching by this point.
Below is where I filled up.

Get why I called it dismal?
And, of course, I drove late into the night. All the way past Cleveland, Ohio.

Night couldn’t stop this intrepid road warrior!
Good luck, dear sir.
Enjoying the photos. I did part of that drive on the way home from KY this summer.
Hung out with your sister a bit. (Facebook holds the treasured memories of R. Kelly + Beer.)
PRINCETON IS NOT DISMAL!!! live here for awhile...its a town of history...not a city of the future
