A couple of days ago, I was out shooting macros of bugs and I heard some crunching behind me. I thought another human was walking nearby, so I turned around and looked about. I didn’t see a human, but this fox instead.

He was quite curious about me, and must have had a fair amount of human exposure before, because he came within an arm’s reach of me. I could have pet him had I wanted to. If you know photography, I took the photos above with a 90mm lens (on a 35mm body, this would be equivalent to 135mm), which doesn’t “zoom” in too far.

This fox checked me out for a while, then went back to what he was doing, which was eating grass and chewing on shrubs. After a little while he curled up under a shrub and took a nap.
